In August of this year, actor Mel Gibson agreed to pay $750,000 to his former girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva following a long, contentious battle over allegations of domestic abuse and the custody of the couple's young daughter. Now, that formerly large payout sounds minimal in comparison to his latest family law agreement.

Late last week, a Los Angeles family court judge approved the divorce settlement agreement of Gibson and his wife of 31 years, Robyn Moore. Because of the agreement's confidentiality, few details are known about it. However, entertainment news websites are reporting that Moore will likely receive half of Gibson's $850 million fortune.

Gibson and Moore met in the late 1970s and were soon married. They had seven children together, only one of whom is a minor subject to a child custody determination. In 2009, Moore filed for divorce from Gibson.

Reports indicate that Gibson and Moore did not create a prenuptial agreement when they were married. If this is the case, Moore is likely entitled to half of all income earned by Gibson during their 31-year marriage under California's community property laws.

Current estimates place Gibson's fortune around $850 million, which includes his movie earnings and residuals as well as significant real estate assets. If this is accurate, Moore may receive more than $400 million in the divorce. In addition, it is believed that she will continue to receive half of any of Gibson's future residuals for films he made while the couple was married.

If these reports are true, the Gibson-Moore divorce will go straight to the top of the list of all-time highest celebrity divorce payouts.
